South Africa’s Njabulo Matha delivered a commanding performance to win GOLD in the U20 Men’s 400m Hurdles at the African U18 & U20 Championships in Abeokuta, clocking an impressive 51.48s.
He was closely challenged by Nigeria’s Oseiwe Salami for most of the race, but Matha found another gear over the final hurdle to pull away and seal the victory. Salami settled for silver, while Burkina Faso claimed bronze.
