Sports Minister Kofi Adams has revealed that Black Stars Management Committee members previously earned $10,000 as winning bonuses, while players received $5,000. He disclosed this during a press briefing ahead of Ghana’s World Cup qualifier against Chad.
Adams said his administration has been reviewing budgets and cutting unnecessary items. He confirmed that management officials will no longer receive winning bonuses under his watch. Instead, players now get $150 per diem, while technical staff receive $200. The Black Stars have already left for Chad, where they face the hosts on September 4. They will then return to play Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on September 8.
Adams has faced criticism for not disclosing team budgets despite a directive from President Mahama in February.
