Black Stars forward Brandon Thomas-Asante netted his 10th league goal of the season as Coventry City beat Sheffield United 3-1 in the English Championship. His late strike sealed victory for Frank Lampard’s side at the Coventry Building Society Arena. Sheffield United had taken the lead through Sam McCallum in the 25th minute. Coventry fought back after halftime, with Tatsuhiro Sakamoto equalising and Bobby Thomas scoring the second. In stoppage time, Haji Wright assisted Thomas-Asante for the third goal. The win puts Coventry four points clear at the top of the table.
Thomas-Asante now has ten goals and three assists this season. He hopes to be called up for Ghana’s upcoming friendlies against Japan and South Korea.
