Usman vows to become two-weight UFC champion

Former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has revealed his ambition to become a two-weight UFC champion before retiring from mixed martial arts.

The Auchi-born fighter, who returned to winning ways earlier this year by defeating Joaquin Buckley, said his dream scenario involves reclaiming the welterweight title, vacating it, and then capturing the middleweight championship.

“At this part of my career, the dream scenario is: next fight, win the welterweight title, vacate, win the middleweight title, retire,” Usman said.
