Côte d’Ivoire Opens First Grid-Connected Solar Plant

Jinko Solar has helped Côte d’Ivoire launch its first large-scale solar power plant. The Boundiali Solar Power Plant has an installed capacity of 83.5 MW. It is the first solar plant in the country to connect directly to the national grid. The project was developed with Cote d’IvoireEnergies and Eiffage RMT. It uses Jinko Solar’s advanced Tiger Neo N-Type TopCon modules for maximum efficiency.

The plant supports Côte d’Ivoire’s target of reaching 42% renewable energy by 2030. It will reduce dependence on fossil fuels and cut carbon emissions. The project also shows how global partnerships can drive Africa’s clean energy transition.
