Global payments giant Mastercard has teamed up with Abu Dhabi-based fintech infrastructure provider Enza to accelerate digital financial services across Africa. The partnership will provide African Fintech with a streamlined way to embed Mastercard’s payment solutions, enabling them to issue cards, manage accounts, and process transactions both online and offline.
This collaboration comes at a time when Africa’s fintech sector is rapidly expanding, with the number of startups on the continent nearly tripling since 2020. By combining Mastercard’s global reach with Enza’s localized infrastructure across countries like Nigeria, Egypt, and South Africa, the initiative aims to drive financial inclusion and reduce time-to-market for emerging FinTech.
