Nigerian hurdler Nathaniel Ezekiel has been named one of three finalists for the prestigious 2025 Bowerman Award, collegiate track and field’s highest individual honour.
The announcement was made on Tuesday evening by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, confirming Nathaniel’s place alongside Arkansas sprinter Jordan Anthony and Auburn hurdler Ja’Kobe Tharp on the final shortlist.
The trio emerged as standout athletes following a dominant season in both the indoor and outdoor circuits.
Nathaniel, who hails from Delta State, and competes for Baylor University, capped off a record-breaking year by winning the NCAA title in the 400m hurdles in Eugene, Oregon.
