Cherop Samuel and Yeko Bentalin of Uganda were unstoppable as they won gold in both the men’s u-20 10,000m and women’s U-20 3000m.
Cherop finished first in a time of 28:20:07 ahead of Zimbabwe’s Chipuriro Martha, who ran a time of 28:21:61 while Edwin Elkana of Kenya in a time of 28:21:62 won bronze.
Yeko Bentalin won her race in a time of 8:45:49, Chepngetich Sheila of Kenya secured silver in a time of 8:48:98 while Morocco’s Bassou Amma went home with a bronze medal.
