Operation Dudula Protest Halted by Court

A planned anti-immigrant march by Operation Dudula in Johannesburg was blocked by a court order following appeals by human rights organizations. The movement had planned a large demonstration against undocumented migrants and government leniency.

Activists argue that such protests incite xenophobia and distract from South Africa’s broader economic issues. The ruling is seen as a victory for social cohesion efforts.
