The Hague hosted the vibrant 14th African Festival last weekend. The event celebrated music, fashion, film and culture under the theme “Changemakers.”
Curated by Augustina ‘MS ABA’ Austin, it featured artists from Africa and the diaspora. Ghana’s Epixode thrilled crowds with a high-energy show and tributes. Senegal’s Omar Ka and Tanzania’s Yacyn Wastara also gave standout performances. Fashion designer Dzogbefa showcased sustainable designs and fought period poverty.
The Elevate Talent Programme introduced rising stars like 12-year-old Jayce. Films, exhibitions and community events added to the festival’s colourful finale.
