Nigeria, Ghana Condemn Afrophobic Attacks

Nigeria and Ghana have condemned renewed Afrophobic protests targeting African nationals in South Africa. Both countries want the issue discussed at the next African Union summit.

The two governments called for stronger regional cooperation, early warning systems and preventive diplomacy. Nigeria also says it will pursue compensation for properties abandoned by affected citizens.
