Endurance Grand Speaks on Tomboy Role

Ghanaian dancer Endurance Grand is starring in a new film titled The Fisherman. She plays a tomboy, a role she says reflects her real lifestyle.

Speaking on Joy Prime, she explained the role carries a message of self-expression. Grand shared that people often question her for not wearing makeup, skirts, or earrings. She said she is not bothered by such criticism and will continue to be herself.

The dancer added that appearance does not define what a person has to offer. She recalled receiving backlash when she once dressed more femininely. The film, directed by Zoey Martinson, also stars Ricky Adelayitar, William Lamptey, and Kiki Romi.
