Aruna retains top spot in ITTF rankings.

Nigeria’s top-ranked player, Quadri Aruna, retains his position as the country’s leading light in the latest International Table Tennis Federation world rankings for Week 39 released on Tuesday.

Aruna remains 27th in the global men’s ratings with 1,185 points, keeping him firmly ahead of his African rivals. The 36-year-old remains the continent’s number one, holding off the Egyptian trio of Omar Assar, who sits 32nd with 930 points, Youssef Abdelaziz in 50th on 550 points, and Mohamed Elbeiali in 97th with 269 points. Benin’s Abdel-Kader Salifou completes Africa’s top five.
