The Ivorian Prosecutor, Koné Braman Oumar, has offered a reward of 1 million FCFA for any anonymous information leading to the arrest of two wanted individuals.
According to the National Police Directorate, the suspects are accused of using offensive and abusive language on social media. An official call for witnesses was issued to help locate and identify them. The authorities said the information provided will remain anonymous. The case was first reported by Abidjan.net on Sunday, October 5, 2025. This follows the prosecutor’s warning on September 26, during a meeting with social media administrators.
He cautioned against verbal abuses and insults online, calling them “language misconducts.” The prosecutor confirmed that a strict crackdown on such online behavior has now begun.
