Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Ministry is in talks with the US and Canadian embassies about visas for fans traveling to the 2026 World Cup. The discussions aim to make travel easier for supporters, officials, and the Black Stars team.
GFA President Kurt Okraku and Sports Ministry advisor Betty Krosbi Mensah joined the talks. The US side was led by Acting Ambassador Rolf Olson, and Canada was represented by Acting High Commissioner Dennis Roussel. Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said the meetings focused on coordination and smooth visa processing. The US has ended its single-entry visa rule, allowing fans to re-enter after visiting Canada or Mexico.
This move will help Ghanaian fans attend games in all three host countries. Talks with the Mexican Embassy are expected to follow later this week.
