ASKY Airlines has begun building its own Boeing 737 flight simulator in Lomé, Togo. The project, launched last week, is expected to be completed by June 2026. The simulator will replicate real flight conditions, helping pilots train and improve their skills safely. It will allow ASKY to certify its pilots locally instead of sending them abroad for training.
Managing Director Esayas Woldemariam Hailu said it will also benefit other regional airlines. The facility will be the first of its kind in West Africa. The project is supported by Togo’s Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC-Togo). Once operational, it will enhance Lomé’s position as a key aviation training hub in the region.
