Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie have both been shortlisted for the 2025 CAF Women’s Player and Goalkeeper of the Year awards.
Announced on Sunday, Ajibade is one of three finalists for the 2025 CAF Women’s Player of the Year award. The Paris Saint-Germain Féminine forward enjoyed a remarkable year for both club and country, playing a key role in Nigeria’s historic run to the 2024 WAFCON title, held in Morocco in 2025, where she was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. She also helped Atletico Madrid Femenino secure Champions League qualification before moving to PSG Féminine in the summer. Ajibade joins Morocco captain Ghizlane Chebbak (Al Hilal), the WAFCON 2024 top scorer, and Sanaa Mssoudy (AS FAR) on the shortlist.
