Togo’s health insurance bodies have signed a new agreement to improve optical services. The CNSS, INAM, and AMU partnered with the national optics association APPOL.
The deal sets common standards for access, quality, and follow-up care. Policyholders will now receive better-structured support at approved opticians. They will also have access to tailored glasses and contact lenses. CNSS Director Ingrid Awadé said the agreement will harmonize practices across the sector.
The Health Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to equitable and well-regulated care. The move strengthens Togo’s Universal Health Coverage plan, launched to cover all citizens.
