Team Ghana won eight medals on Day 3 of the West Africa Para Games in Abeokuta, Nigeria. In para powerlifting, Tahiru Haruna took bronze in the 72kg–107kg class.
Isaac Obeng also won a silver medal in the 59kg category. Daniel Kankam added another bronze in the 65kg event, making three medals in powerlifting. In para shooting, Isaac Adopleh won two medals — one silver and one bronze. The para badminton team added three bronzes from Akosua Nkansah, Hayford Kwame Adasi, and Atta Owusu.
Ghana’s total medal haul now stands at eight so far. The team will compete next in Armwrestling and Sitting Volleyball as the Games continue until December 4.
