Côte d’Ivoire’s National Police has restarted its annual “Opération Épervier” ahead of the festive season. The initiative, relaunched on December 1, aims to strengthen road safety and curb traffic offences. Officers will increase checkpoints and carry out strict administrative inspections nationwide. Authorities say the operation is meant to reduce accidents and ensure safer travel for holiday commuters. The police are also working closely with the transport directorate to improve coordination.
Drivers are being advised to carry all required documents and follow traffic rules. The campaign will continue throughout the end-of-year celebrations to maintain public safety.
