Government Approves Social, Housing and Infrastructure Projects

The Ivorian government has announced several new social and infrastructure initiatives following a cabinet meeting on 3 December. Key decisions include funding for expanded healthcare, nutrition, and early-childhood services. The government also approved loans for the construction of more than 4,000 social and economic housing units.

These houses will be distributed across major cities including Abidjan, Yamoussoukro and Bouaké. New infrastructure projects will target rural and agricultural zones to reduce regional inequalities. Planned upgrades include improved roads and community facilities. Officials say the initiatives aim to enhance living conditions and support balanced national development. The government emphasised that these investments will help strengthen social welfare across the country.
