The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed the Super Eagles’ pre-AFCON friendly against Egypt is now set for Tuesday, December 16, moving from the 14th.
The shift follows FIFA’s rule allowing clubs to keep players until December 15 before AFCON. The match will be a practice game to permit more than five substitutes. It kicks off at 8 p.m. Egypt time (7 p.m. Nigeria time) in Cairo.
Nigeria opens its AFCON 2025 campaign on December 23 against Tanzania in Morocco.
