Eagles begin training in Cairo

The Super Eagles of Nigeria began their first training session on Monday evening in Cairo with 15 players, a week ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The session took place inside the main bowl of the Cairo International Stadium at 8pm, and it marks the start of the team’s final preparations before their opening match in Morocco.

The 15 players who started training included Francis Uzoho, Stanley Nwabali, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Amas Obasogie, Semi Ajayi, Ademola Lookman, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Igho Ogbu, Tochukwu Nnadi, and Zaidu Sanusi.

Paul Onuachu, Frank Onyeka, Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi, who joined the camp on Monday from their respective clubs, also linked up with those who had arrived on Sunday in the session.
