Kanka-Malik Natchaba has been appointed Director General of the Lomé-Tokoin Airport Company (SALT).He succeeds Brigadier General Dimini Allaharé, Chief of Staff of the Togolese Armed Forces.
Mr. Natchaba previously led SALT between 2016 and 2017 before joining the Presidency as Deputy Minister in charge of priority projects. He later served as Secretary General of the Government and most recently as Minister of Higher Education. His experience in managing the airport and key government portfolios is expected to help him adapt quickly. Natchaba’s mandate includes strengthening Lomé’s role as a regional logistics hub.
He will oversee modernization projects at Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport (AIGE). The airport plays a key role in West African connectivity, particularly through Asky and Ethiopian Airlines.
