Togo Reshuffles Transport Ministry

Togo’s government has been reshuffled with the appointment of two new ministers. By decree dated January 23, 2026, Komlan Loukou-Kadjé was named Minister of Transport, Rural Development, and Roads.

The ministry was previously under the direct supervision of the Prime Minister’s office. Loukou-Kadjé returns to government after previously serving as Minister of Public Works and Transport in 2009. The same decree appointed Edem Kokou Tengue as Deputy Minister in charge of the Maritime Economy. Tengue previously managed the maritime economy between 2020 and 2024 and brings continuity to the sector.

The changes aim to strengthen coordination of transport investments and support rural development. With these appointments, the Togolese government now has 29 members, including ministers and deputy ministers.
