Reset agenda focuses on local prosperity

Vice President Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang says Africa must build wealth at home. She spoke at the 2026 Africa Prosperity Dialogues in Accra. The reset agenda aims to end dependency and encourage self-reliance. She said Africa should stop exporting its potential and grow its own prosperity. According to her, African countries must work together, not in isolation.

She stressed that borders should connect countries, not divide them. She cited Ghana’s efforts like the Year of Return and Diaspora Summit. She added that cooperation must be based on dignity, equity, and shared benefit.
