Togo has assumed the rotating presidency of the OHADA Council of Ministers for the next twelve months, succeeding Chad. The decision was made during the 60th session of the Council of Ministers held last week in N’Djamena. Justice Minister Pacôme Yawovi Adjourouvi will chair the council throughout Togo’s term. His focus will be on facilitating trade and investment and ensuring legal and judicial security for business activities in member states. He emphasized that his actions will aim to improve the business climate across the OHADA region.
Togo has made progress in this area through institutional and regulatory reforms to strengthen its economic attractiveness. OHADA, established in 1993, works to harmonize business laws among its 17 member countries in West and Central Africa. The organization seeks to create a secure legal environment that encourages investment and regional economic growth.
