Côte d’Ivoire Boosts AU Ties

Côte d’Ivoire’s Vice President, Koné Tiémoko Meyliet, held key meetings during the African Union Summit in Addis-Abeba. On February 15, 2026, he met Ethiopia’s Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed Ali.

They discussed the main priorities of the summit. Their talks focused on regional integration, innovation, and sustainable development. On February 14, he also met Sidi Ould Tah, President of the Banque africaine de développement. They reviewed the bank’s support for Côte d’Ivoire’s 2026–2030 National Development Plan.

Both sides agreed to strengthen financing for major projects. The Vice President said Côte d’Ivoire remains committed to working with partners to advance Africa’s goals.
