Medikal Joins ‘Red Means Stop’ Campaign

Medikal has been named ambassador for the National Youth Authority’s ‘Red Means Stop’ drug campaign. The announcement was made in Parliament by George Opare Addo. The campaign targets the growing abuse of a synthetic drug known as “Red” among young people. Officials say Medikal’s popularity will help spread the anti-drug message more effectively. He will support school outreach programmes and promote drug-free living online and at public events. Drug abuse remains a serious concern in Ghana, especially among students.

Reports indicate that tens of thousands of young people are affected nationwide. The campaign forms part of a broader effort to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent opioid misuse.
