The National Petroleum Authority has increased the minimum fuel price floor for the second pricing window in March. The new prices will take effect from March 16 to March 31, 2026. Petrol has increased from GH¢10.46 to GH¢11.57 per litre. Diesel has also risen sharply from GH¢11.42 to GH¢14.35 per litre. Liquefied Petroleum Gas has gone up from GH¢9.38 to GH¢10.67 per kilogram.
The new rule means fuel companies cannot sell below these price floors. Industry experts warn pump prices could reach GH¢14 to GH¢17 per litre due to global oil developments. The change may lead to higher transport and living costs for consumers in Ghana.
