The government has announced a new policy for BECE candidates in Ghana. Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu said students will now choose SHS after their results are released. This replaces the old system where choices were made before exams. The change aims to help students make better decisions based on their actual performance. A one-week period will be given after results for students to select their schools.
The Minister noted that the old system often caused mismatched placements. The reform is part of improvements to the CSSPS placement system. Government believes the new approach will make admissions fairer and more efficient.
