More than 609,000 pupils across Côte d’Ivoire began the national CEPE examination this week. The tests are taking place in examination centres throughout the country. Education authorities have put measures in place to ensure a smooth process. Teachers and supervisors arrived early to prepare candidates. Parents gathered outside many centres to encourage their children.
The examination is a key requirement for entry into secondary school. Officials expressed confidence in the organisation of the exercise. Results are expected to be released later this month.
