Nigeria’s National Addressing Council has ratified a preliminary framework to modernise and digitise the country’s addressing system.
The decision followed a meeting chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima in Abuja.
The framework is expected to establish a standardised national addressing structure and improve location identification.
Authorities say the project could strengthen planning, emergency response and coordination among institutions across the country.
