Uganda, Burundi Discuss Gaza Force

Ugandan and Burundian military officials have held discussions in Israel over a proposed international stabilisation force for Gaza.
Uganda has indicated plans to contribute about 1,200 personnel, subject to parliamentary approval.

Burundi is still considering participation in the proposed multinational mission under a wider ceasefire arrangement.
The force is expected to support ceasefire monitoring, police training and the delivery of humanitarian assistance.
