CCI-Togo Plans Startup Investment Fund

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Togo says youth and innovation will drive its 2026 strategy. The institution plans to set up a dedicated investment fund to support startups led by young entrepreneurs.

Target sectors include digital technology, agribusiness, crafts, and services with strong growth potential. The initiative aims to address funding gaps that limit many startups at early and growth stages. Although the size of the fund has not been disclosed, beneficiaries will receive both financial and technical support. This support will include mentorship, business model development, governance, and market access.

CCI-Togo says the approach will help improve business viability and reduce startup failure rates. Its president, José Syménouh, says the goal is to build a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem based on innovation and creativity.
