Congo Opposition Protests Escalate

Fresh clashes have erupted in Kinshasa as opposition groups protest proposed constitutional reforms. Critics fear the changes could allow President Félix Tshisekedi to seek a third term in office.

The demonstrations followed parliamentary approval of a referendum bill now awaiting Senate consideration. Opposition leaders say public resistance is growing, while the government maintains its actions are lawful and justified.
