Ivorian Cabinet Adopts Key Economic and Governance Measures

The Ivorian government held its Council of Ministers on September 17, 2025. A new bill was approved to strengthen the promotion of SMEs and ETIs.

Decrees were adopted to enhance anti-corruption oversight and regulate criminal asset recovery. Six new gold exploration permits were granted across multiple regions. The mining permit of Perseus Yaouré was extended after major new gold finds. A defense cooperation accord with Portugal and an ILO convention on employment were ratified.

The national cinema office was renamed “Côte d’Ivoire Cinéma” to boost the film sector. Two ambassadors received new postings, while reports highlighted progress on public service reforms.
