John Dramani Mahama has returned to Ghana from France ahead of an emergency Cabinet meeting. The meeting will address rising fuel prices affecting the country. The increase is linked to tensions in the Middle East. Government plans to find ways to reduce the burden on citizens and businesses. While in France, Mahama co-chaired the 2026 One Health Summit with Emmanuel Macron.
The summit focused on health, environment, and sustainability issues. He also held talks with Macron on strengthening Ghana–France cooperation. The Cabinet meeting is expected to announce steps to stabilise fuel prices.
