Northern Icons Boost Ghana Tourism

Ghana plans to appoint Hamamat Montia and Wiyaala as global tourism ambassadors. The announcement was made by GTA Deputy CEO Abeiku Santana on Showbiz A-Z. The Tourism Minister, Dzifa Gomashie, has already begun talks with both stars. Hamamat will promote shea butter through her famous Shea Butter Museum. Her museum has gained global attention and is fully booked until April.

Wiyaala will champion Northern culture, especially Fugu (smock) fashion. She also supports tourism through music and an arts centre in the Upper West. The move aims to market Ghana internationally using authentic local voices.
