Orabank will shut down four branches in Assahoun, Mango, Kégué, and central Lomé from February 28, 2026. The decision was announced by Oragroup’s Togolese subsidiary through official press releases.
This follows earlier branch closures carried out by the bank in 2023 and March 2025. At the time, Orabank linked similar closures to an internal restructuring process. No specific reasons were given for the latest round of shutdowns. The move comes amid ongoing discussions in past years about the possible takeover of Oragroup by Vista Bank.
The new closures have raised public concern about the bank’s long-term strategy in Togo. This is despite Oragroup recording a strong profit of 18.3 billion FCFA in the first half of 2025.
