Togo Aims to Boost Cotton Production

Togo wants to grow 92,500 tons of cotton this season after two weak years. The government is helping with training, subsidies, and early planting. But bad weather, fewer young farmers, and low profits make success uncertain. Many farmers now prefer growing food crops like soybeans and maize instead.
