Togo Trains 100 Youths in Tractor Operation

Fifty young people in Tové have completed training in driving and maintaining agricultural tractors. The program, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Employment Agency, adds to an earlier session in Kara, making 100 trainees in total.

The three-month course equipped participants with skills in tractor driving, plowing, sowing, and machine maintenance. It forms part of Togo’s national program for agricultural mechanization and youth employment. The goal is to build a skilled workforce to manage equipment in Regional Agricultural Mechanization Centers. Officials say the training will boost productivity and job creation. ANPE Director Kossi Tsiglo noted it will help secure agricultural investments and improve rural livelihoods.
