TOR Plans to Increase Fuel Production

Tema Oil Refinery plans to increase its fuel production capacity. The refinery currently processes about 28,000 barrels of crude oil per day. Engineers are working to raise this to 45,000 barrels per day. This will be done by adding a new processing unit called F61. The new unit will work together with the existing F1 unit to improve efficiency.

The refinery now operates under a tolling system, where private companies bring crude oil for processing. TOR refines the oil and charges a processing fee but does not sell the final products. In the future, management hopes to increase production further to about 60,000 barrels per day.
