Black Stars coach Otto Addo has made history by guiding Ghana to their second straight FIFA World Cup qualification. Ghana secured a 1-0 win over Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 12.
The victory sealed the team’s place at the 2026 World Cup. Otto Addo becomes the first coach to lead Ghana to back-to-back World Cup tournaments. Ghana’s qualification marks their fifth appearance at the global event. Only Cameroon, Morocco, Tunisia, and Nigeria have appeared more times among African nations. The win adds to Otto Addo’s growing reputation as a top coach.
The team will now focus on preparing for the 2026 tournament in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
