Stolen Baby Recovered in Accra

A baby stolen from Mamprobi Polyclinic in Accra has been safely recovered after a swift police operation. The infant was allegedly taken on Tuesday, February 18, from the facility in the Ablekuma South constituency.

The Ghana Police Service immediately launched a search after receiving a report from hospital authorities and the family. A female suspect has been arrested, though her identity has not yet been disclosed as investigations continue. Authorities are working to determine how the suspect gained access to the child. The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South, Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije, helped coordinate efforts between the police, community members, and the family.

Doctors at Mamprobi Polyclinic have confirmed the baby is stable and under close observation. The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, praised the police and stakeholders for their quick response.
