Côte d’Ivoire is strengthening digital cooperation with the United States. Talks involved the Ministère de la Transition Numérique et de la Digitalisation and a US Embassy delegation. A key focus was the possible arrival of Starlink services. This is expected to improve internet access, especially in rural areas. Satellite technology could help bridge the digital gap across the country. It may also speed up national development through better connectivity. The country has also achieved Category 1 aviation status.
This could allow Air Côte d’Ivoire to operate direct flights to the United States. Plans for a Digital City project were also discussed to boost innovation. The initiative aims to create jobs and position the country as a tech hub in West Africa.
