Nigeria Plans More Power Supply to Togo

Nigeria plans to increase electricity exports to Togo. The proposal was discussed between Compagnie Énergie Électrique du Togo and Niger Delta Power Holding Company. Nigeria already supplies about 75 megawatts of electricity to Togo. Officials say they are ready to increase supply to meet rising demand. Togo has faced recent power disruptions due to limited supply.

The country wants more stable electricity for homes and businesses. However, Nigeria says increased exports will depend on secure payment systems. Togo is also expected to expand its own power generation for long-term stability.
