Emergency Works to Fix Power Outages

Côte d’Ivoire Énergies and Compagnie ivoirienne d’électricité have started urgent works to reduce frequent power cuts. The works are taking place in several parts of Abidjan, especially Cocody, which has been badly affected. Three main projects were presented, including replacing damaged electrical cables. Another project involves building a new distribution station to solve low voltage problems. In total, 250 electrical stations will be installed, with 100 in Abidjan.

The plan also includes creating new power lines to strengthen the network. A crisis management team will be set up to monitor the situation closely. Authorities say the investment of about 700 billion CFA francs will help reduce outages gradually.
