Côte d’Ivoire is expanding its schools and improving educational infrastructure. The government held a special recruitment for 2,000 secondary school teachers in mathematics and physics. Exams were taken by 7,668 candidates in Abidjan, Korhogo, Daloa, Bouaké, and Abengourou. Selected teachers will undergo two years of training before becoming permanent staff. Since 2011, over 69,000 primary and 30,000 secondary teachers have been recruited to reduce shortages.
The number of schools and classrooms has increased significantly across the country. Teacher salaries have also risen to improve working conditions and motivation. These efforts aim to strengthen the education system and provide better support for students.
