Preparations are ongoing in Abidjan for the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge supported by the International Telecommunication Union and Google. Students from different schools in Côte d’Ivoire are developing robotics projects focused on agriculture and food security. Teachers and technology mentors have started training sessions for participants ahead of the competition. Organisers believe the programme will encourage innovation and digital learning among young people. Several teams are designing robots that can support farming and environmental protection.
Workshops in Abidjan are also teaching students coding and artificial intelligence skills. The winning team from Côte d’Ivoire will represent the country at the global finals in Geneva. Education officials hope the event will inspire more students to pursue careers in technology.
